Althea connects psilocybin-curious people to meaningful experiences

Whether you’re here to heal, to grow, or to explore — see how legal psilocybin works, and how we help you find the right fit.

How a legal psilocybin experience works

1

Discover Psilocybin and Get Matched

Schedule a free, low-stakes conversation with one of our Psychedelic Care Navigators to answer your questions about legal psilocybin. If you’re interested in finding the right psilocybin experience, your Care Navigator will ask you the important questions and introduce you to a facilitator who fits your specific needs. If you’re inspired by the match, you’ll proceed with them.

2

Intake and Preparation

If you decide to proceed with the experience, you’ll meet virtually with your facilitator for safety screening, baseline measures, logistics, and questions. Then they’ll help you prepare with setting intentions, understanding what’s ahead, and meeting the other people you’ll sit with.

3

Administration

Typical sessions last four to eight hours in a curated, comfortable environment, using lab-tested medicine, with a trained facilitator beside you the whole time guiding the journey. While every experience is unique, one thing is guaranteed: a professional will be there to hold your hand (sometimes literally) through it.

4

Integration

You’ll meet with your facilitator in the following days to help make sense of the experience. Facilitators guide reflection and meaning-making with tangible tools for carrying insights forward into daily life. Healing and growth emerge when you tend to those insights in the conversations, habits, and decisions you make differently in the weeks that follow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Oregon’s Psilocybin Services Act passed in 2020 and Colorado’s Natural Medicine Health Act passed in 2022. Both state programs require participants to be 21 or older and all sessions to be facilitated by licensed professionals at licensed healing centers.

You don’t need a specific diagnosis or a particular goal to explore psilocybin. Many come to work through depression or anxiety, process grief or trauma, navigate a major life transition, explore questions about meaning and purpose, deepen a spiritual practice, or simply discover what the experience has to offer.

No. Legal psilocybin services in Oregon and Colorado are available to any adult 21 and older. You don’t need a diagnosis, a prescription, or a referral from a doctor.

That’s completely normal. Our Get matchedprocess is a free 30-minute call with one of our Psychedelic Care Navigators, who will help you think through your options based on what you’re looking for, your comfort level, and your budget.

Yes. Legal psilocybin services are currently only available in states with regulated programs. If you’re traveling from out of state, many experiences include guidance on logistics like lodging and transportation.

When used in a supervised, regulated setting with a licensed facilitator, psilocybin has a strong safety profile. Adverse events in Oregon’s regulated program have been rare and minor. That said, psilocybin isn’t appropriate for everyone. Your host or facilitator will review your health history during the preparation process and help determine whether the experience is right for you.

Requesting an experience is free. When your host or facilitator accepts your request, you’ll receive an email with a link to complete your payment for the full price of the experience, which confirms your booking.

Submitting a request costs nothing, and you can step away at any point before you pay. For cancellations after payment, the refund policy is set by the individual host or facilitator and will be outlined before you pay.
