You don’t have to be suffering with a ‘mental illness’ to benefit from psychedelics. Perhaps you are curious about the “mystical experience” that we hear so much about or have questions about the nature of reality. Maybe you are trying to make a tough decision, need help clarifying a point of confusion, or getting movement in an area of life that feels stuck. I would love to help you find what you are looking for. As a naturopathic doctor specializing in psychiatry and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy I have a lot of experience working with depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental illnesses. Psilocybin can be transformative for people experiencing these challenges but I also want to help others who are generally well find their higher calling. The world desperately needs more people living their purpose, which in my experience, always has something to do with connection… to self, others, and the world at large. My Approach: The role of facilitator, to me, means that I’m your guide, but not your guru. I don’t have the answers to your deeper questions, and have no interest in convincing you to see the world the way I do, nor could I ever know what’s best for you. Instead, I bring curiosity, humility, and a lot of experience from navigating my own inner terrain and helping others to do the same. Metaphorically this means I can suggest where the water might be or where the trail gets steep versus flat, but ultimately it's your journey. I grew up as a Christian, went through an atheist phase, have been trained as a scientist and think of myself as an objective thinker, and I currently hold a worldview that aligns most with Buddhism but remains open. I share this to say that I can meet you where you are at. I generally encourage some degree of ceremony as a way to hold a container for the experience. But this can be minimal and secular or it can be as spiritual as you like. Who do I work with? I enjoy working with veterans, athletes, meditators (Buddhists or otherwise), and men. However, I am also honored to work with those who hold identities different from my own including diverse racial, cultural, sexual, gender, and religious backgrounds.
